Trek Details
This trek is completely self-funded and every penny I raise during my year of fund raising will be going to the British Heart Foundation. It will signify the end of my fundraising year where I am hoping to raise £5,000. I am also hoping to donate to the Joe Herrington Memorial Fund.
The trek that I'm going on is organized by Charity Challenge. I chose this challenge because I love the desert and I need to be able to keep my hands free to sketch and take photographs as I go along. We will see if I manage that along with the actual physical effort of walking on sand for over 20 K each day.
This is the brief outline of the trip:
- The trek starts in Ouarzazate in Morocco, gateway to the Sahara
- We Trek over 100kms through amazing landscapes in 5 days
- Cross the MaiderEl Kbir
- Climb Jebel Lamrakeb
- Visit nomad tents and caves
- Returning to Ouarzazate
