For the past 50 years the British Heart Foundation charity has been raising money for a huge range of projects related to the heart.
These include funding pioneering research, supporting vital prevention activities and ensuring quality care and support for everyone living with heart disease.
They were founded in 1961 by a group of medical professionals wanting to fund extra research into the causes, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of heart and circulatory disease, including diabetes and high cholesterol.
